Homewood Suites Memphis Germantown

The location is in Germantown, east of Memphis proper but a part of Memphis. This is the area you want to stay in. Memphis is my hometown but there are areas to avoid, for sure. This is a beautiful area and I feel safer staying out there. The breakfast is very good with a lot of choices. There are hot items such as bacon, eggs and potatoes, as well as cereals, breads/bagels to toast, waffle makers, oatmeal or grits and fruit. It's a very well-rounded offering. The hotel is quiet and the rooms are like a small apartment with separate rooms so you have plenty of space, with a quiet separate bedroom with a pocket door for privacy. The kitchenette has plenty of space as well, and there are two TVs, one in the living room area and one in the bedroom. The staff is super friendly and responsive.

Nice large separation of rooms, like an apartment! Nice large kitchen and bathroom area, and the bedroom is a separate room with its own TV. The shower was roomy and great water pressure. The property is well cared for and the parking is easy with accessible doors nearby. The area is quiet and safe, with plenty of restaurants and shopping within a mile or two there in Germantown. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

I liked the size of the room and kitchenette.

After driving all day, we arrived late evening, only to be greeted by the kindest ladies, Dresha. She was warm and professional. The next day, our daughter's cat was lost. Our daughter was devastated! We had had to leave the same day! We told Housekeeper, Renee, who contacted all staff and gave a picture of the cat to the front desk. Everyone was helpful to assist! Renee kept in touch and was eager to help. After a week, we received a phone call from Renee to let us know that the cat was found! Our daughter made a five-hour drive to pick up her cat. We will forever be indebted to Renee for her perseverance and kindness. Thank you all so much for being the best hotel and having an outstanding staff!!

I loved the suite. Felt like I had a studio apartment. Love that the facility is pet friendly. Breakfast is nice. I traveled from another state and called to alert staff I would be arriving after general check in hours, when I arrived the desk clerk told me he was worried something happened because i was even later than I said. Said he was happy to see me and had already checked me in. Gotta love that Southern hospitality!
